Welcome to Old Dominion Hounds

Who we are
We take immense pride in being a friendly, welcoming community dedicated to preserving the open countryside so future generations can continue to experience the thrill and tradition of foxhunting. As a private, subscription-based organization, we offer a rich calendar of events year-round—bringing our members together for exceptional foxhunting, hunter paces, steeplechasing, and a vibrant array of social gatherings that celebrate our shared equestrian passion. Our Country & Territory Through the generosity of our gracious landowners, Old Dominion Hounds hunts some of the most beautiful territory in Fauquier and Rappahannock counties. Our active country encompasses approximately 100 square miles in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The terrain consists primarily of open pastures and expansive woodlands, extensively paneled with coops, natural rail fences, and traditional stone walls. Hunting Schedule During the formal season (early September through late March), we meet on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings at various fixtures throughout our territory. |
